MANLY
In order to begin to discover the meaning of the term manly, the first thing to do is to know its etymological origin. In this sense, we have to state that it derives from Latin, since it is the result of the sum of two differentiated components: -The noun “varo” - “varonis”, which can be translated as “virile” or “macho”. -The suffix "-il", which is used to indicate quality or possibility. Manly is that linked to the male : the human being whose gender is male . The manly, therefore, is associated with the characteristics of the man (as opposed to the woman) and what is strong, consistent or courageous.
